Everyday Cigarettes
Light smoking does not reduce the risk of cancer, but in fact triple them! After a study that lasted as long as thirty years, researchers in Norway found that those who smoked one to four cigarettes a day, almost triple the risk of heart disease and lung cancer. This means that the smoker in your office is actually a disease waiting to happen. The study also revealed that women are more vulnerable than men, especially when they smoke less than one pack per week. Light smokers also had a risk of 50 per cent more to catch a disease than non-smokers and the number has increased with the number of cigarettes smoked.
Needles to say, chain smokers consume a pack of cigarettes a day have a higher chance that a victim of emphysema, but slimming down half a package is not any better. It just goes to prove that half-assing something even smoking can be fatal.
